TSN. Sam Hubbard Jersey .ca presents its latest weekly power rankings for the 2013-14 Barclays Premier League staff. Rankings were weighted evenly between separate lists made by TSN Radio host and soccer analyst Gareth Wheeler as well as TSN.cas soccer editors. 1. Arsenal (Last Week -3) Mesut Ozil was the story for the Gunners, having a hand in all three goals of their 3-1 victory over Stoke City. He is proving to be a very influential member of a squad that is currently playing at a championship level. Aaron Ramsey, Per Mertesacker and Bacary Sagna benefited from his lively play with goals in this contest. 2. Manchester City (LW - 6) City were dominant from beginning to end in a 4-1 victory over rival Manchester United in the first derby match of the season. Sergio Aguero scored twice for the home side while Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri also found the net in what was a strong statement from Manchester City. 3. Tottenham (LW- 4) Tottenham deserved all three points in their contest against Cardiff City and thanks to Paulinhos first Premier League goal three minutes into injury time they were successful. Hugo Lloris did not have to do too much work in the net but almost handled the ball outside of the box which would have had him sent off and changed the complexion of the contest. 4. Chelsea (LW- 5) For the first time in a month, the Blues were on the winning side of a Premier League contest when they dispatched Fulham 2-0. Chelsea dominated the contest and John Obi Mikel picked up his first league goal in the victory. Both Juan Mata and David Luiz failed to see action in the match. 5. Everton (LW- 7) The Premier Leagues last unbeaten side captured a very entertaining 3-2 victory over West Ham. Leighton Baines twice leveled the score for Everton before Romelu Lukaku headed home the winner in the 85 minute just after their opposition had been reduced to 10-men. 6. Manchester United (LW – 2) United were never able to get in gear as they fell to Manchester City in the Manchester derby. With Robin van Persie sidelined with an injury, United had trouble generating offence. Wayne Rooney was their one bright spot and scored the consolation goal late in the second half. 7. Liverpool (LW- 1) While they had more of the ball in their 1-0 loss to Southampton, Liverpool did not create enough chances on goal to really pressure their opponents. Victor Moses had a great chance saved by keeper Artur Boruc, who they were not able to beat. 8. Southampton (LW- 10) Dejan Lovren lifted his squad to a huge 1-0 victory over Liverpool. Keeper Artur Boruc made a few great saves to keep his team ahead in the match and Lovren was lucky to escape without conceding a penalty against Liverpools Daniel Sturridge. 9. Swansea City (LW -13) Michu set the tone early for the Swans as they cruised to a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace. His goal, just two minutes into the contest, was his first league goal of the season coming off his breakthrough campaign last year. Realistically the scoreline in this game could have been much higher. 10. Stoke City (LW – 8) Not able to deal with the pace of Arsenal, Geoff Cameron scored the only goal for Stoke in a 3-1 loss to Arsenal. Though the possession numbers were even, Stoke was not able to create nearly the same number of scoring chances as their opposition in the loss. 11. Hull City (LW- 17) It took the Tigers a little while to get going in their eventual 3-2 victory over Newcastle. Sone Aluko picked up the winner in the 76th minute and they held on for the road victory. 12. Aston Villa (LW- 14) Keeper John Ruddy was forced into action early, saving a penalty in the sixth minute and Libor Kozak scored the winner in the 30th as Villa beat Norwich 1-0. These three points are the first for Aston Villa since their opening game victory over Arsenal. 13. Newcastle United (LW- 9) Poor defending in the end cost Newcastle in their 3-2 loss at the hands of Hull City. Loic Remy scored twice for the Magpies, but it was the backline and keeper Tim Krul who could not keep the winner out of the net in the end. 14. Cardiff City- (LW- 11) Under the gun from the beginning, it looked as though Cardiff was going to escape their match with Tottenham with a single point. Sadly, three minutes into injury time, their resolve broke and they found themselves beaten 1-0. 15. West Bromwich Albion (LW- 19) Stephane Sessegnon led the charge against his former team as West Brom beat Sunderland 3-0. The Baggies would control the action for the majority of the contest with Boaz Myhill earning the clean sheet. 16. West Ham United (LW- 12) Andy Carroll, Joe Cole and Stewart Downing all missed the 3-2 loss to Everton with injuries. Ravel Morrision and Mark Noble from the penalty spot were on target for West Ham. An 81st minute second yellow to Noble sealed their fate in the loss. 17. Norwich City (LW- 15) Robert Snodgrass had a chance from the penalty spot to put the Canaries ahead but was not able to convert the chance. Norwich had other chances throughout the contest but were not able to score in a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa. 18. Fulham (LW- 16) Darren Bent had the best chance for Fulham in their 2-0, west London derby loss to Chelsea but was not able to crack the scoreboard. Steve Sidwell also had a chance after his side was down a goal but once again could not find the goal. 19. Crystal Palace (LW - 18) With manager Ian Holloway banned from the touchline, Palace were overrun by Swansea in a 2-0 defeat. They trailed after just two minutes and were never able to get themselves back into the contest. 20. Sunderland (LW- 20) The 3-0 loss to West Brom proved to be the end of the line for manager Paolo di Canio who was fired following the defeat. At the fulltime whistle di Canio walked over to the supporters and gestured for them to keep their chins up, it was his final act in charge of the team. Custom Cincinnati Bengals Jerseys .
